After resigning herself to living with chronic pain, Sally from Longueville (in her 50s) completed a 12 series of Structural Integration sessions in December last year, and appears to still be pain free to date. Here’s her story and results to date:

I damaged my right SI (Sacroiliac) Joint joint about fourteen years ago packing boxes. Over the years I have tried various therapies: physio, Bowen and an Osteopath. They all gave me some degree of relief but nothing that lasted or really improved my situation. I had resigned myself to living with chronic pain that was gradually increasing and my movement diminishing. I couldn’t rise from a seated position without limping for my first few steps. I thought I was ‘aging’ and this was how I would be.

Trying Structural Integration was a bit of a last resort. I hoping for some level of relief however I found the treatment invaluable. My pain has almost gone and my energy levels have dramatically improved. Living in constant pain and not sleeping well because of it is very draining. I now sleep well. Liane brought my attention to the fact I hardly stood on my right leg. When my foot and leg were first released it was an incredible sensation to really ‘feel’ my foot on the floor and to bear my weight evenly on both legs. My flexibility has increased.

I am now able to regularly attend Pilates and Yoga classes and realise the huge benefits of strength work and stretching, I have so much more energy and have found my sense of humour. My decline into a pain spiral had happened over a long period of time and it affected more than just my movement and I hadn’t really realised. Now I feel that Structural Integration is a fantastic tool in the my tool kit if I need to revisit any areas of my body.
